Although ‘Distant Sun’ and ‘Evening Calm’ were painted as a pair (diptych)

This work was created alongside some of my Tree minis

Inspired by the varying greens and ochres present in the Australian landscape

Swirling clouds and rolling emerald hills set the stage, but it's those pops of pink and reddish orange at the base of the trees that make this one sing. There's so much energy in the brushwork, it feels like the landscape is dancing. Although Blue Trunks and Crimson Shadows were painted as a pair (diptych), they hold their own unique presence and emotion, enabling them to be purchased and hung as stand alone
