1998 Sine Qua Non "The Antagonists" California Rhone Blend Fashioned from yields of 21998 Antagonists: This was a surprising effort (93% Grenache, 5% Syrah and 2% Viognier) from a challenging vintage throughout California. The dramatically higher percentage of Grenache has given it a mature Chateauneuf du Pape personality. Loads of kirsch liqueur, pepper, lavender and spice box are all present in this elegant yet complex, extremely perfumed, medium to full bodied wine. It is fully mature and should be drunk over the next 4 5 years.
