I didnt doubt that it would be fun, but I had assumed it wouldnt impact the game much, and would instead be a bridge between the phenomenal Shimmering Skies set and whatever comes next
The Aladdin and Cruella starter deck is a Ruby/Emerald deck that excels at buffing your characters, stealing lore from your opponents, and controlling the board through songs, items, and Evasive characters
While it worked a little bit, the deck has been taking up much of the meta still, to a tune of more than twice that of the next most played deck
I suspect it has to do with how causal players and Cube/Commander players feel about foils
With a transformed Defiant Thundermaw in play, you could also divert its two damage to other battle cards, snowballing the battle card transformations even further
