The nicest thing about this card is that the effect is relatively fair in slower, more casual settings but it can be an absolute powerhouse at a more competitive table

Sometimes I also include defensive cards here: playing pure defense rarely wins games, but if you don't have anything else good to pick, something that helps keep you alive & in the game (like a high-toughness creature with defender ) is still playable

It can be a cantrip, which draws you a card on top of some other small effect, or something as big as Ancestral Recall, which draws you multiple cards for 1 mana
