It became wildly popular in the early 1900s due to its lack of strings that most green beans grown back then had. We are truly fortunate to be able to work with farmer Dale Acre to provide these amazing stringless snap beans to you wonderful chefs. These are grown in the Blue Ridge mountains where the summers are a little less intense allowing these beans to grow with less
